I’ve always been an optimist, looking for the good in
situations, even when they seem like the bleakest thing that could happen to me or the people around me. But failure is a difficult one to turn on its ear. I decided to follow the great people on their walk in my mind. ...

What I'm about to tell you happened ten years ago, after I Suffered a series of failures.
I heard a deep, but sweet, kind voice saying:
􏰀I'􏰁 really a 􏰂ery good fairy a􏰃d 􏰁y 􏰃a􏰁e is “ky. Wa􏰃t to
come with me?"

And she offered me her hand. It was a slim, transparent hand, and smelled of raindrops. I was so surprised that I could not answer. The next thing I knew, I had been carried by some invisible force, taken from the warmth of my bed, and transported through the bedroom wall, through the middle of
-"Come on, come along, you'll love where we're going,"
The fairy said, and with that we moved up, soaring, flying, faster and faster towards the heavens. We meandered through the air while behind us lightning struck and thunder roared, and through all of it I didn't feel the slightest fear.
Along I went in complete confidence, holding onto the fairy􏰄s ha􏰃d, and the rain fell incessantly beneath us. It seemed to come in waves, softly murmuring through the sky...
She smiled at me, and higher and higher we went. Then, just as smoothly as we had ascended, we began to float back down. We descended through a gradually clearing fog, and headed towards an area filled with light. In the blink of an eye we were bathed in sunlight, and around us were seven other figures. Seven more fairies, each just as beautiful and transparent as her, each as sweet and kind, and they smiled at me just like she had...!

The fairy and her friends took me by the hands and began to dance, singing a song in beautiful and peaceful place like a paradise. Thick green rain forests cover many square miles. There are palm trees and flowering bushes. When I first arrived, I was surprised by the blue sky and the crystal clear water.
The place is the best example of a paradise. It has beautiful landscapes. There are large green areas that have remained untouched by people. No stress, no pollution, and no worry. The place has lovely, clean white sand. Streams and rivers rush down the mountain to the sea. It is full of wonderful gardens that bloom all year round.
And indeed I danced and sang with them, clapping in rhythm, and wanting to ask the fairies so many questions!

We were singing:
We can grieve with hope

And we ache with hope
We let go with hope
And we don't be afraid of the dark

When the song ended they said in one breath:
Dreams just dreams but they are dreams that have changed the destiny of nations, the course of history and the lives of millions of people.
I saw a very beautiful house and I found that Sky the Fairy knocking on it.
After a while Albert Einstein appeared and greeted us.
I began asking him: Is that right that you suffered from failure like normal people?

Albert Einstein: I suffered from failure, stress, depression and frustration.
I: How?
Albert Einstein: I didn't speak until I was seven causing my teachers and my parents to think I was mentally handicapped, slow and anti-social.
Eventually, I was expelled from school and refused admittance to the Zurich Polytechnic school.
How did you cure yourself?
Albert: When I gave my failure, my stress, my depression and my frustration wings and let them fly away, I could win the Nobel Prize and changed the face of modern Physics. My theories of relativity were a very significant scientific breakthrough. I was also a champion of human rights.
I: Please tell me the secret.
Albert: "Imagination is more important than knowledge." Sky: Now I introduce you Nelson Mandella. Let􏰄s
knock on the door of his house.
Mandella: I spent 20 years in jail because of my opposition to apartheid. I am a justice lover and a freedom achiever.
I: How did you overcome your gloom?

Mandella: Persistence was what got me past splash. Persistence was what got me back on my feet.
I: What was your dream? And how did you achieve it?
Mandella: I dreamt of healing the wounds of apartheid and I achieved that by my magnanimous attitude to my former political enemies.
I: What is your advice to us?
Mandella: A hero is someone who has given their lives to something bigger than themselves.
Sky: now I introduce you Walt Disney. Let􏰄s k􏰃o􏰅k o􏰃 the door of his house.
I: cannot believe that you failed.
Disney: Yes, I failed many times. A􏰆out 􏰁y failure...I had a rough start. I was fired by a newspaper editor because he said" I lacked imagination and had no good ideas."
After that I started a number of business that didn't last too long and ended with bankruptcy and failure.
I: How did you overcome this failure?
Disney: I kept plugging along, however, and eventually found a recipe for success that worked.

I hugged challenge and overcame failure so I rake in billions from merchandise, movies and then parks around the world.
I: What to do to become like you?
WaltDisney: To accomplish great things, you must not o􏰃ly a􏰅t, 􏰆ut also drea􏰁...􏰃ot o􏰃ly pla􏰃, 􏰆ut also believe.
Sky: I introduce you Thomas Edison. Let􏰄s k􏰃o􏰅k on the door of his house.
I: I cannot believe that Thomas Edison was a failure.
Thomas Edison: In My early life teachers told me that I was too stupid to learn anything". Work was no better, as I was fired from my first two jobs for not being productive enough. Even as an inventor, I made 1,000 unsuccessful attempts at inventing the light bulb, of course all those unsuccessful attempts finally resulted in the design that worked.
I: what about your word to us?
Edison: Life is truly known only to those who suffer,
lose, endure and stumble from defeat to defeat. Good things happen to those who hustle.
Sky: I introduce you Isaac Newton who is best known for universal gravitation.

Isaac: I had some failings early on. I never did well in school and when I was put in charge of running the family farm, I failed miserably.
I: what did you do?
Isaac: I smashed through everything that has been holding me back and I protected my thoughts and turned them into achievements.
Now I am best known for universal gravitation, Newton's method, Newtonian mechanics, optics, i􏰃fi􏰃itesi􏰁al 􏰅al􏰅ulus...people say that I a􏰁 a ge􏰃ius when it came to math. I finally blossomed into the scholar you know today.
Sky: I introduce you Henry ford "businessman" and the founder of Ford Motor.
Henry Ford: I wasn't a success. In fact, my early business failed and left me broke five times.
I: how did you succeed?
Henry: I told myself that I must have iron spine to handle failure and depression. So, I kept growing and built my skill.
Sky: Now I introduce you Soichiro Honda "businessman" and the founder of Honda Motor.
Honda: I began with a series of failures and bad luck. I suffered from unemployment for quite some time.

I: How did you succeed?
Honda: I started making scooters of my own at home and spurred by neighbours and finally started my own business.
I: a word for us.
Honda: Hold up a light and show that "Yes" you can live your dreams.
Sky: Now I introduce you Akio Morita" businessman" and the founder of Sony Corporation.
You may not have heard of Morita but you have heard of his company Sony.
Morita greeted me.
Akio Morita: My efforts were a real flop.
My Sony's first product was a rice cooker that didn't cook rice so much as burn it. I sold less than 100 units.
I: What did you do after this setback?
Morita: This setback didn't stop me but I had a certain amount of risk taking. I pushed forward to create a multi-billion dollar company.
I: what do you like to say to us?
Morita: You must take risks to have any chance to succeed.

Sky: Now I introduce You Orville and Wilbur Wright( Wright Brothers) Airplane inventors.
They completed High School.
They greeted me.
Wright Brothers: We battled depression and family illness before starting the bicycle shop that led us to experimenting with flight. We failed many times.
I: How did you succeed?
Wright Brothers: After numerous attempts at creating flying machines, several years of hard work, and tons of failed prototypes, we finally created a plane that could get airborne and stay there.
Sky: now I will introduce you Winston Churchill(UK politician)
He greeted me.
Winston: I failed the sixth grade. After school, I faced many years of political failures, as I was defeated in every election.
I: How did you become the Nobel prize-winning, twice elected prime minister of the United Kingdom?

Winston: I 􏰇as te􏰃a􏰅ious....Success requires an ability to keep getting up after failures.
I had to be prepared to make decisions.
I analyze what went wrong and start again and again till they get it right.
I finally became the Prime Minister at the ripe of age of 62.
Sky: Now I introduce you Michael Jordon " Basketball player"
Michael greeted me.
I: How did failure touch you?
Michael: I 􏰇as a 􏰆loody loser. I failed 􏰁a􏰃y... 􏰁a􏰃y...􏰁a􏰃y ti􏰁es. Most people 􏰇ould􏰃't 􏰆elie􏰂e that me the best player of all time was actually cut from my high school basketball team.
I: You gave up?
Michael: Of course not. I didn't let this setback stop me from playing the game.
I: did you succeed?
Michael: No, I have missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I have lost almost 300 games on 26 occasions. I have been entrusted to take the game winning shot and I missed.
I: Did you stop failing?

Michael: No, I have failed over and over again in my life. And that's why I succeed.
I : what do you like to tell me?
Michael: Bear in your mind:, " to reach the top of a mountain can be tough or easy. Staying at the top is the real problem and the real challenge. Those who climbed the hard way to the very top have become strong and tough but those who get there the easy way, are easily swept away.
Next time you are feeling down about your failures in school, college or in a career, keep those famous people in mind and remind yourself that sometimes failure is just the first step towards success.
