Look at this photo and clean up your mind:
Our minds contain thoughts, procedures and images - pictures, sounds, feelings and taste-smells.
The way we think in a phobic way does not help us at all. At the very most it is a relic from some past threat. Phobias are not usually big issues with many of us, but their principle affects us all, when we think of irrational nervousness in situations where there is no physical threat.
What makes the mind and the heart unclean:
Evil acts are preceded by unrighteous thoughts. And unrighteous thoughts are born of vulgar stories, jokes, pictures, conversation, and a myriad of other satanic products.
Vulgarity appears in many ways. We live in a society where profanity and vulgarity are accepted means of conduct and expression—even a way of life for some. Language has become a dialogue in profanity.
We are the victims of a vile habit. I would suggest that some are misled who think vulgarity occurs only now and then when a person utters obviously crude or offensive words. Vulgarity is not so rare as it should be. It is sustained by constant exposure to a steady diet of vulgar and filthy experiences. We might consider vulgarity in a couple of ways: first, as an expression of personal weakness, and second, as a contribution to personal weakness.

Some demonstrate or express a personal weakness when
they tell jokes or stories about the body and its functions,
when they joke about or make suggestive comments
concerning women or girls, when they are casual about
sacred things. There is vulgarity when some speak
crudely of body parts or sexual matters. Too often,
common slang, even gutter terms, are used by movie
stars—ofttimes anger is used as an excuse for such
utterance. This is wrong. No one need swear or be vulgar
at any time.
Some contribute to this personal weakness when they read or experience filthy magazines, vulgar movies or television shows, or remain in a group where unclean discussions occur. Each of these kinds of experiences will weaken any spirit, will make it less able to withstand “the fiery darts” of the adversary.
Clean up the mind
By clearing out this mental debris and developing more appropriate ways of thinking, we can free ourselves and regain mastery of our minds.
What do we mean by developing or clearing our minds so we can start again with a fresh new mind and a fresh new life? We know that when we feel good, our world appears bright and cheerful. And when we feel bad, our world appears dull and threatening. When our minds are bright, so is our world. We know also that computers and Minds are useful things, when kept in their place. Yet both work on the Garbage-in-garbage-out principle. A mind full of false computations is just as useless as a computer with false data. When we realize that much of the data and procedures in our minds were put there during childhood or before, then we realize we need to clear up our minds if we are to clear up our lives.

By understanding our motives and the motives of others
we can better live our lives - and help others live theirs
better too. We need to stop being our emotions!
Again, we do not wish to be happy all the time. It would not be appropriate to be happy under all circumstances. It is said that the goal is to be completely natural.
Yet we know that our emotions are affected by our thoughts. If we think that someone is trying to deceive us we may become angry. Yet without that thought, we might be amused or entertained. By changing our thoughts about something we can change our feelings about it too. So by changing our thoughts we can change our feelings. If we have extreme thoughts then we have extreme feelings!
